We have spent — so far — 13 years producing Assafir Al-Arabi, carefully attending to every detail, from selecting the topic, the angle of approach, and the writer, to the visuals and photos, to editing and proofreading, etc. All of it is rooted in our region — a principle we have committed to without compromise. We have also committed to highlighting the oppression, repression, killings, impoverishment, and despair that our societies and peoples endure — in all their diversity — in the service of the ruling clique’s interests, and those of Israel and, behind it, the old and new colonizers.
But even that has not been enough to satisfy ourselves. Nor has public praise stopped us from constantly asking: Are we being useful? Are we having any impact, even slightly?

Over the past two years, we have dedicated all our efforts and the overwhelming majority of our publications to Gaza and Palestine. We have contributed to exposing the situation there, as well as the complicity and support of the entire West. We have also sought to highlight the courage, patience, resilience, and sacrifices of the people of Gaza.
