A grocery store in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, is cramped with bottles of expired drinks, offered for half of their original price to attract poor citizens. According to the Consumer Protection Organization, which previously called for releasing a brochure containing all regulations designed to protect consumers, shops dispersed across Mauritania are crowded with several kinds of expired goods whose validity dates had been forged. Additionally, goods in Mauritania are transferred in primitive ways and are subjected to negligence during preservation which could cause damage to them.
