The next phase appears to be critical for the newly-elected Tunisian government as it’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, it seeks to improve the economic situation to guarantee a minimum of stability. And on the other hand, it works towards mitigating people’s demands and domesticating social movements without conducting radical reforms that would lead to the redistribution of wealth. This means a return to using the method of security in order to solve economic contradictions. And it is in this context where naming Habib esseid to form the new government should be put.
