· Not many people are aware that the major Jewish global event is about to take place soon in Jerusalem on 28-30 October.
· This is the holding of 39th Congress of WZO-the World Zionist Organization.
· This event takes place in Jerusalem every five years.
· For unknown reasons nothing is published about it, in the NYT or elsewhere.
· It is attended by 525 Jewish delegates, 29% (US), 38% (Israel), 35% (rest of the world.
· Voting for the 39th Congress took place in the US in 2025 (March-May), Canada (June), UK (June), Australia (July), South Africa(July).
· The WZO decides on the allocation of $1billion (tax-exempted) funds to three major Zionist corporations: The Jewish National Fund, the Foundation Fund & the Jewish Agency.
· This $1billion is spent mostly on settlement, immigration & pioneering youth leadership in Israel.
· The first WZO Congress was held at Basle, Switzerland in 1897.
· The 39th WZO Congress is the latest since then.
· This direct link between the coming 39th Congress & the 1st 1897 Congress shows Israel’s manifests pedigree as a child of a 19th century quintessentially European colonial enterprise.
· It also shows how formidably organized is global Jewish commitment to this enterprise.
· Is this why no mention is made of the 39th WZO Congress?
