    Covered in his heavy coat, he crossed the large square that leads to the new headquarters of state offices whose sites have been shifted to a more secure area due to the raging war. He carries a pile of papers concerning the relief organization under his direction. He has worked tirelessly since the morning to collect all the necessary signatures on these papers, hoping that this could boost him to go all the way through this steep road. 
If you look at his eyes that resemble two balls of ashes tainted with pale blue, you will not see the spark of a hopeful future that we are promised in the school hymns and radio songs. You will see the pain of confusion and its suffocating smoke that covers the chests of people dressed in modest clothing, blindly roaming the streets. He belongs to a human species destined to killing and displacement at time of wars, and driven to prisons in shackles at times of peace.
