Egypt has witnessed many political developments over the last four years, few victories and plenty of defeats. Many believe that the revolution is currently enduring a defeat as the demands for bread, freedom, social justice and dignity, articulated in January 2011, have gone with the winds of the current military rule. All of these demands have vanished and sole –or most important – demand has become the release of political prisoners. This is perhaps natural because according to the estimates of some human rights organizations, the number of political prisoners in Egypt has reached 40,000.
