ISIS abides by the jurisprudence of Jihad – religious war – intertwined with takfir- declaring others as infidel – and religious migration. This is the essence of the Wahhabi ideology which leads those who follow it to constantly look for ways of linking between vision and sword, creed and power, between the leader of the creed and the leader of the tribe etc. Thus, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, the founder of Wahhabism, and Muhammad Bin Saud have completed each other like the sword and its scabbard, to establish the state of Al Saud which is shrouded in religious extremism. However, ISIS has provided a superior articulation of true Wahhabism, both in character as well as content. Unlike Saudi Wahhabism, ISIS did not paint its creed with unnecessary euphemisms. The black flag of ISIS describes the dark world that has strayed from the religion of Allah and the instruction of Prophet Muhammad. The white circle flag symbolizes the bid of ISIS to restore the world to its divine purity.
